So what has been going on? Both Parker and Bret got awards from the last marking period at school. Parker got one for science and Bret got one for math. Pretty smart cookies, eh?
In Cub Scouts, they both got a few awards. Parker finally got his Bobcat Badge. This is the first badge all Cub Scouts get... to get it you need to know the Cub Scout Promise, the Cub Scout sign, etc. Parker of course memorized it all very quickly. But we had to wait till the Pack meeting for the award. Bret got a bunch of beads for his recognition badge. They also got patches for the Push Cart race, Pinewood Derby and a couple other things. Parker seems to be tiring of Cub Scouts, but I'm going to keep him going for the rest of the year and then we'll re-evaluate. We'd like to get him in football. I think he would be very good at that!
We signed Bret up for Little League. I wanted him to be in LL instead of Tball again b/c tball is really pretty boring and I think Bret has the skills to play LL. So far I've gotten 2 emails from them... one about a work day and the other about a fundraiser. What have I gotten myself into? I'm not even going to worry about it till he actually starts. I don't have time to worry about it now!
JT (I am really trying hard to call him that more) is doing well! He was pretty sick last wknd. Our whole family was doing so well for so long being healthy. We got through Dec w/o even a cold. Then all of a sudden we all got sick (except Parker, but he did get a little sniffly nose). Don and I both got the whole headache/ cold thing. Bret got really sick on his bday and poor JT got the fever/ puking thing. Yuk! Fortunately none of us was sick for too long. I think Don was sick the longest (3-4 days), and he even took a couple sick days from work. But we all seem to be doing better now.
JT is being so cute these days. He copies all the things we do... putting on shoes, vacuuming, wiping the table. Today he got out the Little Green carpet cleaner and was cleaning the carpet! He is so cute! He has 2 signs now... milk and more. He knows where his head is and he can clap his hands. I look at him and just can't help but smile. He is too cute!!!
Here are some pictures from the Pack meeting for Cub Scouts (sorry they are so awful!) and a couple from Parker's bday. We're planning a party at Pump It Up on the 28th, so I will try and make sure I have some pictures from that!
