Don't get used to this... a post 2 days after my first! I shouldn't set such high standards. ;)
This is my second attempt at publishing this blog today. I had it all ready to go and then Blogger decided to be fickle and not work. Good thing I saved it all so I wouldn't have to recreate it. Nothing like spending 20 minutes of the baby's nap working on something only to have it disappear. After my original attempt to do this, I decided I'd clean the bathroom. The boys have been brushing their teeth in there and now there's toothpaste all over the sink. And boys really seem to have a hard time aiming when they pee so there's that fun to deal with. Then I thought I should feed my turtles since it's probably time so instead of doing the bathroom, I went to the fridge to get some goodies to feed to the turtles. In the bottom drawer of said fridge there was some yukky sticky stuff. Normally I pretend I don't see things like that, but today it looked pretty bad. I wrestled the bottom drawer out and was greeted by a huge mess of ick. There's no going back after you find that... so I proceeded to clean that up, get the turtles food and then Tubby woke up. Bathroom will have to wait.
So Bret was Star of the Week last week. I think that all the kids get to be Star of the Week, but it's still fun and special. His teacher interviewed him. Interview as follows:
1. My favorite color is blue.
2. My favorite tv show is Scooby-Doo.
3. My favorite foods are lobster, shrimp and watermelon. (the boy has good taste, no?)
4. I like to read books about race cars, trains, and giraffes.
5. My favorite song is "Big Black Horse and the Cherry Tree." (very mature of him, don't you think?)
6. The sport I like best is football.
7. I like to go to my Grandma's house in Michigan on my vacation so I can play with her trains.
His teacher is very artistic and she drew this from his answers:

On to other news... I took a little video of Tubby the other day. He is very cute right now doing all the proper 6 mo old baby things like making cute noises, grabbing his toes, etc. In this video, he is singing. Just make sure your volume is on but not too loud ;)
Parker has been doing well too! He's had good days at school. Yesterday he didn't want to go though and was really not wanting to get on the bus. So what does a good mama do? Bribe him with Twinkies. I guess it's good that he's made it this far without even knowing what a Twinkie is. But what would childhood be like without Twinkies?? I couldn't let him go through life without experiencing that!!!
Off to try and get Tubby down for an afternoon nap so I can take a shower and clean that bathroom...
