Last October Gramma Louise came for a visit. For my birthday, she got me some daffodil bulbs and planted them. Before we left for AZ, they were almost ready to pop and we came home, they were all flowering! These are a couple pics of Bret w/ them and Annabelle. She got a bath at the Dog Hotel while we were gone and Don thought she looked pretty in her yellow bandana out next to the daffodils. I agree!
Our trip was fun, but it is good to be back. We did a lot of fun things... Desert Museum (I think that was my 4th time at the Desert Museum now), Reid Park Zoo, Funtastic! (fun park w/ go karts and mini golf), visited Uncle John and Aunt Carolyn... Auntie Jami was able to come too and was so wonderful w/ the boys. They love her so much! A good time was had by all.
In Tubby news... he got a tooth! In Arizona! He is so cute now. He is sitting up really well and he is such a charmer. He smiles all the time at everyone and is just so yummy! I call him my little Love Bug :) Here's a short video of him giggling:
The big boys had their pictures taken at school for spring, so look for some new pictures in the mail! I got the pictures of Tubby too, so those will be in there. My friend Rebecca did a session w/ us in January and I was so excited. She is so talented and the photos of Tubby are really amazing! Her website is: http://www.catchlightsnw.com/ Tubby is in her gallery!
Parker has started wrestling! I am beyond happy about this! This is his first real sporting adventure and so far he is doing really well. Don and I have gone back and forth on sports for him for so long... we just weren't sure he could handle it. But he is making us so proud! I just want to cry when I think of all the progress he has made in the last year or so. Don even said that he wasn't acting very "aggressive" at wrestling! Did you ever think you'd hear us say something like that?!?
We're planning on signing up Bret for tball. Don is thinking about putting him in wrestling instead, but Bret seems to want to do tball more. I think we'll let Bret observe a wrestling practice and then let him decide. I kind of want him to do tball, but we'll let him choose. If he does wrestling that will eliminate some shuttling around... wrestling is on Tues and Thurs and tball is on the same days, so Don would have to take one boy to one sport and I'd have to take the other.
Spring is in full swing here. The crocuses have come and gone. Our daffodils seem to be the last ones, in some areas of town they are already wilting! Our juncos have left and the yellow rumped warblers are back. I'm looking forward to the return of the hummingbirds!
I hope everyone is enjoying spring... I'm off to get the big boys from school!
