This wknd was the Mountain Festival! I finally got smart this year and bought their carnival tickets ahead of time at the Chamber of Commerce. You save almost half the price doing it that way! The boys really had fun. Bret was so brave riding a couple rides that I thought were a little scary! Parker stuck to the "easy" rides and his favorite the "Jalopy Junction" which is just some old car things that go around a track. He also liked the carosel and the big slide where you sit on a burlap sack and go down. Bret went on this really loud and fast roller coaster and also on this HUGE TALL slide thing.
Don took the boys to San Francisco this morning! Originally he was going to a class for work, but they denied funding so he decided to go anyway b/c his friend, Rob lives there now and he wanted to visit. I was thinking of going but it's a REALLY long drive and Tubby doesn't do that great in the car for 6+ hours. Plus, w/ school starting I really wanted to be home to get ready. And I must say that is is really nice to pick up and have it stay that way! ;)
A couple pictures :)
The first one is at the park. There is a local artist who does these awesome carvings in trees. They are all around town and now there are a whole bunch at the park. I need to take pictures of the rest... they are so neat!

The boys eating corn outside... this reminds me of being a kid in the summer when my dad would fill a coffee can w/ water and melted butter and we'd dip the corn in to coat it w/ butter :)

Some shorts I made for a friend of mine... aren't they cute?? :)

Bret's beanbags... he took this picture himself... I just cropped it some. He even set it all up like that too.

And finally the pants I made from the Granny Smith Apple yarn I posted about the other day.
