Camping!

We went camping this past weekend at the Mountain Park. I think most ppl who have come out for a visit have been there... what a jewel it is. We went up on Saturday afternoon with the intention of staying one night. We had a great time and Don thought we could stay for another night. There was really no reason why we couldn't, plus it is a big production (I just typed pig production... what is up w/ that?) so it's better to make the most of it. Parker had school on Monday, so we would have to leave really early, but we decided to just go ahead and stay. It rained a lot on Sunday (first rain in FOREVER) but overall it was fun! Here are a few pictures:

Parker is doing well in summer school. Sometimes I think that I don't want him in summer school, that he should just experience summer. But I do think it helps him and it gives him something to do. It's hard for both the big boys to be around each other all day and not drive each other crazy! Parker's teacher said Parker is mainstreaming in summer school now! I didn't even realize that they had a mainstream class over there. But there you have it. He said Parker is doing really well and he was very positive about next year! That made my whole day!

Bret is enjoying summer, but I think he really needs something to do. He didn't want to do any of the summer programs and it's really hard to get out and do anything w/ the baby. By the time I get ready and get Bret and Tubby ready, Tubby is ready for a nap! I don't like messing w/ naps. So we mostly just stay home and hang out. I'm going to try and get to the library soon. It's harder w/ 3 of them!

Tubby is doing well. He almost has another tooth. It was really giving him a hard time for about 4 nights last week. It's not quite through yet, but should be any day now. It will be tooth #6! He is eating solid foods now. So far he's had banana, avocado, carrots, rice cereal, prunes, and we just started sweet potatoes yesterday! He seems to really like food and everything is homemade and organic of course. ;) It's fun to make my own baby food! I don't know why I didn't do that w/ the big boys. I guess I wasn't as concerned about freshness and organic-ness (yes, I know that's not a word) before.

I've been thinking a lot about doing our local CSA (community supported agriculture). You pay a fee each week and get a box of fresh, local, organic produce. Some of my friends are doing it and they really like it. I just have to decide if it's really worth it financially. I really like the idea of supporting local organic farmers. Maybe I'll just go ahead and give it a try for a while and see how it goes!

Tubby is starting to get restless so I better go!
