I feel like I am finally able to get back into things as far as knitting and dyeing yarn goes. I want to knit up a bunch of wool pants for Tubby for fall/ winter and hand dyed yarn is REALLY expensive (like $20+ a skein and you need 2 skeins for pants). Being an "I can do that" kind of person (plus I've been dyeing yarn for 4 years now) I finally decided to get my act together and get back into it! Here's some yarn:
The first one is my total copying of another dyer's colorway called "Granny Smith Apple." I wouldn't sell this or anything, but for personal use, I am fine w/ copying! The second one was copied also, but didn't turn out like I envisioned... oh well, I like it anyway!

Next we have Tubby's first item from "Tubby's Winter Collection" :) I dyed the yarn for these pants. I like how they turned out except I had to switch skeins at the bottom of the legs and the color pooled wonky and it is bugging me a little... but I'm trying to not let it bug me too much!

And finally some adorable little booties I made for Parker's teacher who's wife just had a baby girl. I LOVE these! This pattern is great... Tubby has 2 prs of these booties (except his are not pink!) and they are really nice! They are actually functional as well as cute. I think that they would look adorable up on a shelf as decoration too! The yarn is nothing fancy... just a blend of nylon, acrylic and a touch of mohair to make them fuzzy. There is a little stuffed bear made out of this yarn in my UFO pile.

That's all for now! The boys are doing well :) I'll post more on them later, for now you must indulge my selfish show-off! ;)

How darn cute are those booties!!! Your yarn is so pretty AND I love the pants for JT.. They look camofloge!!
Good for you! I'd love to see the pattern for those booties, if it's available to share. And someday maybe you and I can get together and dye some wool for a joint project? I'll bring the supplies if you bring the know-how!
(I'm picturing a little sweater for Tubby to match his pants!)
both of those yarns are so pretty, where do you get your blank yarn? The pants are beautiful, oh and are you on Ravelry?
