We've been busy!

Whew, what a crazy couple of weeks! First Tubby got sick with some weird virus that gave him a fever and he was also vomiting. I've never had a baby vomit! It was weird and I felt sooo bad for him! He got over that then my mom and dad came out for a visit. We went to Disneyland and California Adventure and it was lots of fun! We stayed one night and the day we came home Parker and Bret got sick. Thank goodness my mom was there... I didn't even hear them! She said they puked within minutes of each other. Yuk! So they were sick on and off the whole week, then Tubby got the pukes again. It was so yukky! We managed to have a good visit anyway and everyone recovered the next week. Now Tubby has a cold... poor baby just can't catch a break! I'm hoping his immune system is going to be good and strong after all his sickies! It seems like every time the weather changes if he's out in the wind, he gets sick.

The weather is very nice here! It is pretty warm here today actually. It was chilly at the beginning of the week, but it's nice now! And the last 2 days we've had butterflies flying around like crazy! Seriously, when I drive to the school I see probably 100 butterflies. In the past 2 days we've probably seen 500! I am not kidding either! They're all painted ladies and a few of the white cabbage butterflies. It is really neat to see!

We had a sad thing happen 2 weeks ago. My beloved box turtle, Willow, died :( She got a prolapse on a Saturday and I couldn't find any vets who would see her. I ended up calling the Animal ER and they said that one of the vets coming in the next day would see her. So I drove her to Bakersfield and the vet examined her. She said she could anethithize (sp) her, push the prolapse back in and stitch her up, but I decided that that wouldn't be the right thing to do. Willow was, after all, a wild turtle and I wanted to respect what her body was doing and took that as a sign that her time was up. They euthanized her and I picked her up the next day. I was pretty sad about it all... I had her for 12 years!

Then, on Mother's Day, one of our cats was missing! We looked and looked all over but she eventually walked up to the house like nothing was wrong. We were so worried!! I don't need any more pet stress for a while now!!

I think that's about all for now. I just wanted to post something quick while I had a second. I'll post pictures next time!!

:)
